Chain Block / Lever Block

Description

Chain blocks and lever blocks are manual lifting devices used to hoist, lower, or tension heavy loads with precise control. A chain block (or chain hoist) operates using a hand chain that turns internal gears to lift vertically, while a lever block uses a ratcheting lever to lift or pull loads in any direction, including horizontal and diagonal. Both tools are compact, durable, and ideal for lifting applications where powered hoists are not practical.

Most Common Applications

  • Lifting & Rigging: Commonly used in workshops, warehouses, and field operations for lifting heavy equipment or materials.
  • Construction & Infrastructure: Ideal for aligning structural components and installing steel beams or pipes.
  • Mining & Industrial Maintenance: Used for servicing equipment, removing motors, and tensioning heavy machinery.
  • Marine & Offshore: Suitable for shipboard maintenance, engine hoisting, and confined lifting environments.
  • Transport & Rail: Helps load/unload cargo, position heavy freight, or align rail components in tight spaces.

Features

  • Manual operation allows for lifting without external power sources
  • Compact and portable design for ease of transport and use in confined spaces
  • Available in a wide range of lifting capacities, typically from 250 kg to 10 tons or more
  • Heavy-duty alloy steel construction ensures durability and safety under load
  • Fitted with mechanical load brakes and hooks with safety latches for secure operation
